PEEK (Polyetheretherketone)
Redefining Industrial Plastics Standards
Advecton PEEK (Polyetheretherketone) is an engineering thermoplastic used in various engineering applications. This advanced material exhibits a unique combination of high mechanical properties, temperature resistance, and excellent chemical resistance, making it the most popular advanced and high-performance plastic material. Its ability to work at high temperatures makes it a special material because it can be used continuously at 250 °C and even up to 300 °C for a short time cycle. Further, it has very good chemical resistance for use in processing plants. Its mechanical strength makes it a replacement for metal parts in some applications.
PEEK can be processed with injection moulding or machining for the required shape and size. It can be processed at a high temperature, and generally, the heating temperature needs to be around 400 °C for melting this material and processing it into another shape or moulding.
